The 12 y.o. weighs 90 pounds and is 4' 11" tall. I ordered her a child Large.
The 10y.o. weighs 70 pounds and is 4' 8". Ordered her a Medium.
Both fit. And both girls are super excited about how SOFT they are.

The Carlotta leotard is sophisticated, elegantly understated, and sophisticated. I found that the sizing chart was accurate. Due to my being an older dancer, I returned it as the back scoop is lower than I prefer at my age. It broke my heart to return it as it is a dream of a leotard.
This is my first pair of So Danca tights and I am delighted with them. They are comfortable, stay up (I haven't had to tug them up during class. They stay put.), and allow for freedom of movement. I ordered the Ballet Pink. The color is skews to having a bit of an orange undertone, being more coral rather than being a true pink (which I prefer), but the comfort of the tights more than makes up for this. Very comfortable waistband. The size chart was accurate.
These socks are comfortable, true to size (per the chart), and keep my feet warm. Lovely shade of pink. My feet are happy that I purchased these & wish that I had gotten them years ago. I, too, appreciate having a bit more cushioning for my feet without bulk or interfering with my feet sensing the floor.
I ordered the size M/L as I wanted the extra length. It is a bit too large, but I can take it in a bit so that it fits me well. The material flows well when dancing and adds a sophisticated touch in class. It is stitched well and should last a long time.
